Method 5. Update Windows On Clean Boot

Updating Windows on Clean Boot is another effective solution to fix conflicting Windows Update Errors. Doing so disables other programs and drivers & provides a basic & built-in environment to run your system.

Step 1- Go to the Search box and type ‘msconfig’ & hit Enter button.

Step 2- Under Services tab > tick Hide all Microsoft service & click Disable All button.

Step 3- Under Startup tab > Open Task Manager > click Startup items & disable them one by one.

Step 4- Close the Task Manager & g back to System Configuration window to click OK button.

Restart your PC & check if you are still getting an error while installing the Windows update.
