How To Fix HID-Compliant Touch Screen Missing

Solution No. 2 – Update HID-Compliant Touchscreen Drivers

If you see HID-Complaint touch screen in your Device Manager, there are chances that the drivers pertaining to it are outdated. The best thing here is to update HID-compliant drivers.

Now, there are two ways to tackle this – You can either update drivers manually or opt for a simpler and safer method and that is to use a driver updater utility. For the purpose of this post, we are going to use Advanced Driver Updater which is one of the best driver updater tools for Windows. Here is how you can update outdated HID-Compliant touch screen drivers –

Step 1 – Download, install, and run Advanced Driver Updater.

Step 2 – Click on the Start Scan Now button to scan for outdated drivers.

Step 3 – Once the scan is completed, you will be able to see a list of outdated drivers. If your HID – compliant touch screen driver is outdated, you will be able to see it in the list.

Step 4 – To update the driver, click on the checkbox located at the left of the driver name and click on the blue colored Update driver button.

Step 1 – In the Windows search bar type cmd and click on Run as administrator from the right-hand side.

Step 2 – When the Command Prompt window opens, copy and paste the following command and press Enter.

Step 3 – Run the on-screen instructions and see if the issue is resolved or not.

Solution No. 4 – Repair Corrupted System Files

Corrupted system files are often the root cause behind one to many Windows related issues and if your HID-Complaint touchscreen is missing, it could be that corrupt system files are to be blamed. Step 1 – Keep the Administrative Command Prompt opened and type Sfc /scannow.
