Update Google Chrome

Sounds simple, but this can cause an interruption in your reach to entertainment website YouTube. So always make sure to keep your Chrome updated. Let’s see how to do this in easy steps:

Step 1 : Open Google Chrome, go to Top-Right corner and click on the three-dot icon right next to the user icon. Now go to Help and click on About Google Chrome.

Clear Cache And Cookies

It is possible that Chrome is using an old cache file while opening YouTube. It can be a hindrance and won’t get detected so easily until you go through all the Settings manually. The step you need to take is clear cache and cookies to fix YouTube not working on Chrome. Follow the steps below to do so:

Re-enable Hardware Acceleration

Chrome uses Hardware acceleration to run graphics and sound with the help of hardware of your computer. Thus, it can also be the cause for YouTube not working. Whenever a system file gets corrupted it can stop the process of playing videos.

Follow the steps below to disable the Hardware Acceleration-

Step 1: Open Google Chrome, go to Top-Right corner and click on the three-dot icon right next to the user icon. Now head to Settings.

Step 2:  In Settings, go to the end of the page and Click on Advanced.

Step 3: Under System, you will see Use Hardware acceleration when available. Turn the switch off. And click Relaunch.
