However, what if you don’t want a PIN as your lock screen access code on Windows 10. Even though the PIN is a better option as it is quite simple to remember, however, people might guess or simply peek while you sign in to know your access code. This might be a privacy concern, therefore you are required to remove PIN from Windows 10.

Steps To Remove PIN From Windows 10:

Step 1: Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.

Step 2: Open Accounts from this Settings tab.

Step 3: Under the Account section, you need to go to Sign-in options.

Step 4: Under Sign-in options, you will see a number of options to manage how you sign in to your device. Click on the option of Windows Hello PIN.

Step 5: Here in the Windows Hello PIN will show you two buttons to select from – Change and Remove. You need to click Remove to remove PIN from Windows 10.

Step 6: A warning message appears which asks you if you confirm click on Remove again.

Note: The associated fingerprints, face recognition, and app purchases might not work after you remove PIN from your account.

Remove Administrator Account From Windows 10

Before you can handle your computer to another user, it is required that you must remove your account from Windows 10. You can not simply remove the administrator account without creating a local admin. The steps will involve that user account to be set as the administrator, and thereafter you can move to remove your account.

To create a new administrator account you need to follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.

Step 2: Open Accounts from this Settings tab.

Step 3: Under the Accounts section, you need to locate Other Users in the left panel. Click it.

Step 4: In the right side of the panel, you can see Other users if any are added, select from them or else click on Add someone else on this PC.

Step 5: Log in with the Microsoft account details or create a new account with Microsoft.

Once you click on enter, a message appears which says that the person needs to be connected to the internet whenever they log in for the first time.

Step 6: As you are done with this process, click Finish.

Step 7: Now, you need to go back to the Settings tab, and click on the new user.

Step 8:  Here, click on the Change account type.

From the options- Standard and Administrator, select Administrator and click OK.

Step 9: Go to the Start menu again, and go to User profile icon. You can now view another user account with the option to Switch user.

Step 10: Now, you can go back to your original account and select it. This will show you the options, click on Remove.
