As long as your Instagram account is set to Private you no longer have to worry about people sharing your Instagram Stories. Because even if somebody shares your story, the receiver user will not be able to view it. But if you’re looking for a way to permanently disable the way so that not even your friends can share your story as their Instagram Story, then this guide is for you!
STEP 1- Launch your Instagram app on your Android or iPhone.
STEP 2- Tap on the three-dash menu icon at the top-right corner of your screen.
STEP 3- A list of options will appear on your screen. Choose Settings menu present at the bottom screen.
STEP 4- Locate Privacy and Security section & choose ‘Story Controls’.
STEP 5- Under Story Controls, several options like Add Close Friends, Edit Message Requests will be found. You have to locate Allow Sharing option, by default the setting is toggled on.
STEP 6- To stop users from sharing your Instagram Stories, you can toggle off the feature and permanently disable the DM icon from your Stories Section.
Once the ‘Allow Sharing’ option is deactivated, just wait for some time to let Instagram disable it. To know whether the functionality is disabled or not. Head towards your Stories section and observe that your Direct Message icon is disappeared from the bottom-right corner.

If you wish to hide your Instagram Story from a particular person, then you can do the following. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Story Controls > click Hide Story From option and select user(s) you wish to hide your stories from. Tap Done!
Want to Control Who Can Reply To Your Instagram Story?
Be default, anyone who is in your Following list can directly message at your story. To prevent someone from replying. Go to the Settings Menu > Click Privacy and Security > Story Controls > Toggle off Allow Message Replies.
