On Mac, turn on the screen time for kids with Family Sharing turned on with these steps

Step 1: Click on Apple Icon, go to System Preferences.

Step 2: Go to Family Sharing and click on Screen time.

Step 3: Select your Child’s name from the list on the right panel.

Step 4: Go to Open Screen Time, and now click on the Screen Time Preferences.

Step 5: Again, select the child’s name from the Top-left and click on options.

One can also restrict certain apps from the use of the children’s account. More can be done by setting up a downtime and a screen time passcode in the settings. This way, you can be certain that the children are not allowed to use the devices or certain apps than the permitted period.

How to set up screen time for kids on iPhone?

In a similar way, which was used on Mac, one can restrict the screen time for kids on iPad and iPhone. There are also several Parental control apps for iPhone and iPad. With iOS 13.3 update, communication limit was also added as a feature on iPhones. This will restrict children from texting and calling unsupervised. With Android devices, one can monitor your child’s phone usage with Google Family Link.  All you need to do is install Google Family Link from the Play Store, and create a google account for the child.

With the Screen time limit for the kids on Android, the device will be locked. They will only be able to use the Emergency call button and answer the phone calls. They won’t be able to see any notification or unlock the phone.
