How to Edit and Customize StandBy Mode in iOS 17 on iPhone

The StandBy feature is a new addition in iOS 17 that allows you to customize your lock screen and add widgets for at-a-glance information. Here’s another tip to edit standby mode. For quick access to favorite contacts:

Step 1: Go to ‘Contacts’ and toggle it on.

Step 2: Tap ‘Add Contact’ and select contacts to add to StandBy. Choose up to 10.

Drag and rearrange contacts in the order you prefer.

With contacts on StandBy, you can quickly chat, call, or email anyone right from the lock screen.

Finalize StandBy Customization

Once you’ve added content to your liking, arrange different StandBy elements using drag and drop. Content closer to the top will be prominently shown.
