How To Add Credits To Google Voice Accounts

Google Voice is a calling application by Google, which allows users to forward their multiple phone numbers to a single existing or unique number. Google Voice offers many services, and all those services are free. Sending text messages, voicemail transcriptions, and recording calls are some of the features that one can use via Google Voice.

However, there is one service that does not come free, and that’s making international calls on Google Voice. A user has to pay Google some amount to make international calls. Only the international calls made from the United States to Canada are free. Rest are payable as per the Google Voice rates, which are way cheaper than the international call rates charged by regular mobile carriers. To pay for international calls on Google Voice, one must add credits to his/her Google Voice Account.

Adding credits to Google Voice is quite easy. You can have a maximum Google Voice credits balance of $70 at once. Here’s how you can add money to Google Voice:

Google Voice international call rates are cheaper than the ones set by other mobile carriers. You can check the price range for international calls on Google Voice here. For making calls between the United States and Canada, users can enjoy free international calls, just like the other services offered by Google Voice.

Given the fact that the rates hardly increase $0.50 (besides a region or two), Google Voice is a good choice to make international calls. Moreover, it’s an easy process to add credits to Google Voice. The $70 maximum balance limit may be arguable, but since you need those credits only for making international calls on Google Voice, it hardly impacts user experience. While Google Voice remains operational only in selected markets, hopefully, we’ll get the services expanded in other regions too.

I appreciate this step by step guidance. However, when I wanted to add credits on google.voice vial web Step 4 does not work. There is no option to ‘add credit’, it only shows the current balance and I can’t do anything else from there on. I last had successfully added credit in April 2020, but it does not work any more. I would really appreciate feedback around that problem. Thanks and kind regards. Erwin Horvath
