Threads Introduces Edit Button & Voice Notes – No Subscription Needed

Edit Posts and Share Voice Notes Coming Your Way

Editing is now available on Threads, as Mark Zuckerberg recently revealed. It implies that you will now have the ability to edit posts even after they have gone live. In comparison to X (formerly known as Twitter), there’s no requirement for a subscription fee to enjoy edits following publication.

Users will have a brief five-minute window to edit a Threads post after its initial publication. Beyond this period, any further alterations to the post will not be possible. It’s important to highlight that Threads won’t display an edit history to users. As a result, there won’t be any way to find out the original content of a Threads post once it has been edited.

Furthermore, Threads is introducing a feature that allows users to share Voice Notes on the platform. To do this, simply tap the newly introduced microphone icon and record your voice. Subsequently, this voice note will be shared across the platform.

In other developments, there’s news that Threads might add something called “Trending Topics,” which lets users see what people are talking about on the platform. This info came out by accident when a Meta worker accidentally showed a picture of this new feature. Interestingly, an application developer William Max was the first to notice the picture.
