Zoom App Camera Not Working? Here’re the Fixes!

Zoom application forms the connecting lines between two distant people. This app lets you call anyone who has the same application directly. Moreover, it could be done through any device, be it Windows, Mac, Android, iOS or Linux. You can add about 100 participants at a time, chat with them, record the video and pay nothing. Isn’t that so cool? But the problem emerges when the Zoom camera is not working, and your boss is willing to connect while working from home.

What To Do If Zoom Camera Not Working?

Fix 1: Close Other Programs

If your camera is not working on Zoom, it is best to either close all the other applications or specifically those applications which use the camera like Skype, Facebook, etc. You need to try this step for every system, be it Mac, Windows or Linux. If the applications are hanging in mid, shut them down forcefully.

In the case of Android or iOS, go to the home screen and close all the currently active applications. 

Fix 2: Turn Your Video On/Off

When Zoom Meeting camera is not working, go to the lower bar where all the options are displayed. Here, check Start/Stop Video, check the upper arrow beside it and see if you are connected to your camera. Turn it on and off once and see if the video starts working.

Also, ensure that the camera is not blocked or covered for the same purposes.

Fix 3: Try Restarting The Device

Whether you are using Windows, Mac, Android or iPhone, try shutting down the device and restart it again, if your Zoom video camera is not working. Sometimes there are a few technical glitches that may bug the zoom or camera app. These glitches are likely removed once the device is restarted, of course, don’t forget to save all the other necessary items.

Fix 4: Uninstall & Reinstall Zoom

Before taking this step, we recommend you to try your device’s camera on other applications. For example, you can try your camera’s working ability on FaceTime, Photo Booth, WhatsApp etc. If the camera is working perfectly fine yet the Zoom camera is not working correctly, try this method. 

For Windows & Mac: Uninstall the application from Windows or Mac, go to Zoom Download Center and download it again. 

For Android & iPhone: Hold the app’s icon and drag it to the bin. Reinstall Zoom application from Google Play Store or iOS App Store.

Fix 5: Update Your Camera Driver (Windows)

Zoom Meeting camera not working maybe because of outdated camera drivers. Either you can update the driver manually by visiting the official website of respective drivers page, or automatically using Smart Driver Care. Fix 6: Permission For Camera (Android/iPhone)

Android: Go to device Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Zoom. Here, if you cannot see the application, reinstall it.

iPhone: Go to device Settings > Privacy > Camera > Toggle on the switch of Zoom.

Fix 7: Contact ZoomSupport

If all the above methods do not work for you and still Zoom Meeting camera is not working, you can directly contact Zoom Support.
