WhatsApp’s New Feature Brings Your Status to Instagram – Check Details

WhatsApp has introduced a novel Secret Code feature, enabling users to conceal locked chats behind a personalized code. Additionally, the platform is actively developing several new features. One of these is an optional functionality that might allow users to directly share WhatsApp statuses on Instagram, as reported by WABetaInfo.

This functionality will resemble the current capability to share Instagram Stories directly with Facebook Stories. It’s crucial to remember that the functionality, which has been detected in an Android app beta version, is still in development.

WhatsApp to Transform Instagram with Status Updates

According to the report, the upcoming WhatsApp feature will enable users to share their WhatsApp Status on Instagram seamlessly without leaving the app. This development aligns with Mark Zuckerberg’s overarching vision of achieving cross-platform compatibility across all Meta applications.

As previously mentioned, this upcoming feature is similar to the current option of cross-posting Stories on Facebook and Instagram. It will empower WhatsApp users to effortlessly update both their Instagram Story and WhatsApp Status with just one click.

The feature was identified in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.25.20 update on the Play Store. Within a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the options to share status updates on Facebook and Instagram are grouped under the Status Privacy tab. Just like the share to Facebook option, users will be able to toggle this feature on or off according to their preferences. Although the report did not specify a precise timeline, it indicated that WhatsApp is anticipated to roll out this feature to all users in the future.

The users will have the ability to manage the audience for shared WhatsApp Status when posted as an Instagram Story, similar to regular Instagram stories.
