Microsoft Drops Dedicated Copilot App for Android – Uncover the AI Magic

With minimal hype or fanfare, Microsoft discreetly introduced the Copilot app for Android, offering users a fresh means of engaging with the AI-powered assistant and its functionalities. Microsoft asserts that the app is designed to be ‘Your Everyday AI Companion’. This new application enables users to utilize their Copilot chatbot as an independent service. In contrast to the Bing Android app, which primarily serves as a search engine, this new application exclusively concentrates on showcasing Microsoft’s AI capabilities.

Notably, the Copilot app shares similarities in functionality with the previously launched ChatGPT app on Android earlier this year.

Now accessible on the Play Store, this application provides users with immediate entry to Microsoft’s AI-powered tool. According to reports, the application has been present on the Play Store for approximately a week; however, there is currently no version available for iOS. As of now, the app has garnered just over 5,000 downloads on the Play Store.

This app makes it easier to communicate with the chatbot, allows you to create images with DALL-E 3, and helps you create documents and emails. Interestingly, it provides free access to OpenAI’s most recent GPT-4 model, which usually requires a ChatGPT subscription. The new app further includes features such as the option for voice inputs, as well as the ability to incorporate texts and images as inputs.
