How Night Sight Feature Works?

Google Pixel camera captures an equal amount of light over burst photos which are dark but sharp. By adding burst mode, the Night Sight feature prevents motion blur and provides extra light to the picture. This feature is designed to capture true-to-life photos by adapting the various light conditions which can be seen under night or dark place. Google Pixel Night Sight feature depends on AI(Artifical Intelligence), and machine learning to give the best results that even a DSLR and tripod camera wouldn’t be able to get it so clearly.

All About HDR+

Google HDR+ processing holds the technology that helps to reduce “noise” and brighten the colors. In short, it will take burst shots of the pictures, and then, combines the best image so that it will create a final image from the best one. HDR+ feature is not enabled by default, users have to enable this feature by going to camera’s advanced settings>enable HDR+ control. After enabling the HDR+ feature, users have to press the shutter button, and Night Sight feature will observe if there is any shaking hand or any motion in the scene, it will automatically compensate by using the shorter exposure bursts.
