Step 3: Select “Sounds” from the Themes panel.

Step 4: Remove the check mark next to the “Play Windows Startup sound” option when the “Sound” dialog box appears.

The Group Policy Editor is another option for turning off the Windows 11 launch sound. Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) is available by default in Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions. Step 1: Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run Box.

Step 2: Type “gpedit.msc” into the Run box and click “OK” or press the Enter Key.

Method 3: Turn Off Windows 11 Startup Sound Using The Registry Editor

The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database that houses all the settings available on your Windows PC in the form of keys that use binary digits “0” & “1” to turn on/off any setting. Here are the steps to disable Windows 11 startup sound using the Windows Registry Editor.

Step 1: Press the Windows and R Key to open the RUN box and then type “regedit” in the Search box, followed by the Enter key.

Step 2: Navigate to the path below by copying and pasting it in the search bar and then double-click “DisableStartupSound” in the right pane.
