To avoid this crash and sudden system restart due to Expool error, here we list out some easy but effective solutions to fix it to save you the trouble of Driver_Corrupted_Expool Error:

How to Fix Expool Error

1. Update your Drivers

As stated, driver updates are a major cause of concern when you come across Driver_Corrupted_Expool Error. Not updating drivers also tend to slow down several functions on your system and ultimately hamper your usage experience. You can update your system drivers through Windows device manager.

Step 1: Search for Device Manager in the Search Bar

Step 2: In the Device Manager, right-click on every driver and click on Update.

You need to continue this process one by one for each driver including drivers for video outputs, graphics, and connectivity. Once you’ve updated them all, you can activate the updated versions by rebooting your system.

But, this is a hectic and time-consuming process. To click and check for every driver would almost cost you time equivalent to one single session you spend on your system. The best is to automate this process, and it can be done by choosing the right software tool to do so:

  • Advanced Driver Updater (ADU) is one of the best tools to automate driver update process on your systems. Advanced Driver Updater is designed as such that it scans your PC and list out all the updates, if available for any of the drivers.

  • This basically saves you all the time you’d spend on manually updating every driver.
  • After the scan, it just takes you one single click to update all the drivers. This process takes a few seconds or minutes depending upon the number of updates and your network speed.
  • ADU creates a backup on your PC of the previous driver versions. This helps you in restoring your PC to a previous point in case any driver update start causing troubles.

2. Roll-Back to a System Restore Point

Step 1: Search for Recovery in the search bar or in the Control Panel.

Step 2: Click on Configure System Restore. A panel box called System Properties would pop-up.

Step 3: Here, see if the option System Restore is highlighted (boxed in red). If not (see image below), it means there are no restore points created, and hence your system can’t roll back to a previous date.

Step 4: To create a restore point, first select a drive and then, click on the Configure button. Let’s choose Drive (D:) here.

Step 5: For System Restoration, you must select turn on system protection, after you head to Configure for the selected Drive.

Once you turn that on, you’d be able to create system restore points for the future use. In here, the button can’t be selected due to restrictions from Administrator. On your personal PC, you’d be able to make that choice on your own.

3. Update BIOS

In a nutshell, BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) manages data flow between system OS and all the attached drives, as well as the installed applications and software. It ensures that once your system boots up, everything is in place to load your OS into the RAM. It acts as a mediator between the microprocessor and the input/output information or data flow in the system.

bios update

BIOS is generally pre-installed by the manufacturer in the system. You need to look out for regular update notifications for BIOS. You can also download the updated BIOS from the manufacturer’s site. You just need to check which version of BIOS you’ve installed in your system. To check that:

Step 1: Press WIN+R to open the Run box.

Step 2: Type msinfo32. System Information Window would open.

Step 3: In the bottom of System Information window, you’d be able to see what version of BIOS is installed on your PC. If it’s not the latest one, you can download it from the manufacturer’s website.

DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL_ERROR occurs due to driver update issues, and it’s better to keep them updated. Advanced Driver Updater successfully automates the process for you and save you the trouble of manually updating drivers one-by-one. With ADU, you also have an option to roll back your system to a previous point as it helps you create driver backups as it updates them.
