1. Update the Application

If it’s an application that you have installed from the Microsoft Store, you may want to check if there is an update available. Once you have updated the application, check if the error still persists or not.

  1. Open the Windows search bar and head on to Microsoft Store.
  2. Click on Library from the left-hand side.
  3. From the right, click on Get updates 
  4. Wait for the updates.
  5. Once the affected application is updated, reboot your PC.

2. Uninstall and Reinstall The Application

Sometimes when an installation of an application is not proper or if it is abruptly halted due to some reason, issues like the “no such interface supported” may occur. The best bet here is to uninstall the application and then conduct a fresh install.

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Click on Programs and Features.
  3. Locate the problematic application.

4. Re-register The Potential DLL Files That Are Creating Issues

Re-Registering the DLL files of the application causing issues can also be one of the ways to fix the issue. Here are the steps for the same –

  1. Open the administrative Command Prompt, by typing cmd in the Windows search bar.
  2. When the Command Prompt opens, type regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll and press Enter
  3. If this command doesn’t work, type FOR /R C:\ %G IN (*.dll) DO “%systemroot%\system32\regsvr32.exe” /s “%G

5. Run SFC Command

As we mentioned at the beginning of the post, corrupt system files can be one of the reasons why the error “no such interface supported” has occurred. A simple SFC scan could just be the solution you need in that case –

  1. Open Administrative Command Prompt as mentioned above.
  2. When the Command Prompt opens, type sfc /scannow
  3. Press Enter.
