Amazon Alexa was launched for Echo Dot, Echo and other Amazon smart speakers however, now it can be used on your iPhone and other iOS devices as well. However, before you start using Alexa on your iPhone, you need to know what it’s capable of, how can get it and use it.

Step 1: Launch the Alexa app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Now, click on the Alexa logo which you can locate at the bottom of the app. As Alexa doesn’t work like Siri, so you will not be able to wake up Alexa just by saying “Hey Alexa.

Step 3: In case, you’re using this feature for the first time then you need to permit Alexa for certain permissions on iPhone. You can click on Allow to permit Alexa.

Step 4: Now, you will be prompted with a new window on your screen which will be to confirm your decision, so you need to click on “Allow” one more time.

Step 5: In the new window, you will get some examples of things that you can use Alexa for. So, you need to click on Done button to go further.

Note: This Window will only appear if you’re operating Alexa for the first time on your iPhone.

Step 6: You will notice a new window which is like of dark transparent color which contain a lean light blue band at the bottom along with the suggestions for things that you can ask to Alexa. In case, you change your mind then you can click on blue “X” to cancel your request.

How to Operate Alexa for Amazon Shopping?

If you’re using Amazon app, you would have definitely noticed a small microphone located on the search bar to the upper corner of the screen. Earlier, the use of microphone was to look for items from the app or to reorder the item and know the status of your order.

When Alexa come into play, the microphone button was updated to follow commands of Alexa.  All you need to do is, access the Amazon shopping app, click on the microphone button, ask whatever you want Alexa to do, without call up her name.
