How to Mirror/Cast Your Android Phone Display On Windows 10 PC

Android phone market has seen exponential growth over the years. They are popular for their availability, ease to use and the low cost. There are many entertainment apps available on Google Play Store that we use on daily basis on our phones. Sometimes, we wish to watch our favorite sports or web series on a bigger screen like TV/Laptop/Desktop. Of course, there are various devices available in the market to stream your Android Content on TV like Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick etc. But, in this article we will tell you how you can cast your Android screen to your Windows 10 PC without any application or additional device. And you can cast your phone screen wirelessly with a quick and secure manner using Miracast.

What is Miracast?

According to Wikipedia, Miracast is a standard for wireless connections from devices like smartphones, laptops or tablets to external displays such as monitors, TVs, or projectors. It can roughly be described as “HDMI over Wi-Fi”, replacing the cable from the device to the display.

Using Miracast, you can effortlessly make a wireless connection between your external device and Windows 10 PC.

Cast Your Android Phone to Windows 10:

Step 1: Type connect in Cortana search bar placed near Windows 10 start button and tap on Connect.

Step 2: Now, take your Android phone and tap on Cast option via swiping down using finger and search for your Windows 10 PC.

Note: Please note that this Cast option will vary between different phones.  In some phones the option shown is Cast and in others it is screen mirroring. If you are unable to find the option like Cast or screen mirroring, then you must move to Settings of the app to toggle the option on your notification bar. From there you can change the toggle positions of the icons.

Step 3: Here, you can see the Windows 10 PC, once you tap on that your Android phone will try to make a connection between your PC.

Step 4. It will hardly take some few moments to connect it, however if it takes more time then you can tap on refresh button on your phone to re-establish the connection again.

Finally, you will be able to see your Android phone screen on your Windows 10 PC. If you wish to see your Android phone screen in portrait and landscape mode, you can tap on the arrow icon shown in the image below.

That’s it! Using in-built Connect app you can easily create a connection between your Android device to your Windows 10 PC. It is a very nice feature provided in Windows 10, you can also use Project My Screen feature which will also give you a better experience.
