By opting to activate Enhanced Safe Browsing for your account, you empower yourself with an added layer of protection. Since its initial rollout last week, the prompt has been gradually making its way to an increasing number of users. Take a look at the prompt –

You can either enable “Enhanced Safe Browsing” by clicking on Continue or in case you didn’t encounter this prompt you can do it manually too.

Enable Enhanced Safe Browsing Manually

Step 1:  Open your Gmail and from the top right corner of the screen tap on the ‘dotted square’ icon.

Step 2: Now click on Account.

Step 3: From the left side of the screen click on Security.

Step 4: Now on to the right side of the screen, scroll down, look for the Enhanced Safe browsing option, and click on Manage Enhanced Safe Browsing.

Step 5: Toggle on the switch.

Google said that it may take up to 24 hours for the setting to take effect and become operational.
