How To Rename Multiple Files At Once On Mac

5. Select the option that says ‘Rename (n number) Items…’

6. Go to the drop-down list and select ‘Format’ on the ‘Rename Finder Items’ dialogue box.

7. You can choose a Name format of your choice for the style of format you wish for your files. The options available for you are Name and Index, Name and Counter, or Name and Date.

8. Enter a desired name for all your files in Custom Format field.

9. Put a starting number against the Starting number at field.

10. Once done, click on Rename.

11. Your files will have been changed to your desired names with your desired starting number.

8. Select the location of the word to be place, whether you want it before or after the current name.

9. Hit Rename.
