To address privacy concerns, WhatsApp is actively developing a feature designed to safeguard users’ IP addresses while engaged in voice calls. This feature will reroute calls through WhatsApp’s servers, effectively concealing IP addresses. It’s crucial to remember that turning on this security feature could have a negligible effect on the sound quality of the voice calls.

Once activated, this feature will route your calls through WhatsApp’s own servers. It’s worth noting that Signal, another secure messaging app, has been offering this functionality for several years.
