Method 2: Disable/ Enable Tamper Protection Using Registry Editor

You can Disable Tamper protection using Registry Editor if you want to make changes to Windows Security settings as you are using a third-party app.

Follow these steps to disable/enable Tamper Protection:

Step 1: Press Windows and R key together to get the Run window. Type Regedit and press the Enter key.

Step 2: Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> Software-> Microsoft

Step 3: Under Microsoft, locate Windows Defender, then Features.

Step 4: On the right pane locate Tamper protection

Step 5: Double click on it to check the value data.

On the following window, ensure the value data is 0 to disable the feature and 1 if you want to enable the feature.
