Make the Most of iOS 13 Share Sheet on iPhone and iPad

It’s been about a month since iOS 13’s official release, and we still come across new hidden features now and then while using this latest update. iOS 13 brought in a lot of good surprises which gave a new fresh look to our existing devices, especially the Dark mode feature.

So, have you explored iOS 13’s Share sheet yet? The Share sheet on iOS 13 gets so much better and includes a new set of features and actions to improve our user experience. Also, the share sheet gets bigger too and allows you to control your iOS device in just a single click. The new sharing pane features almost everything that a user needs to improve ease of accessibility.

Lucky enough, Apple also offers a way where you can customize the share sheet by keeping only those necessary actions on the list which you access frequently.

Let’s take a quick tour to understand all about the iOS 13 share sheet and how we can customize it.

How to Use Share Sheet on iOS 13

Well, the sharing option on iOS is available almost everywhere. But to start, head on to the Photos app, select any photo and tap the Share button to open the Share sheet.

Now, on the top of the Share sheet, you will see various quick suggestions, namely of your recent contacts followed by other useful options which include AirDrop, Mail, Messages, Notes, and so on. With the help of these suggestions, you can directly share any content with the respective contact without having to search for their name in the contact list.

As you will scroll down the share sheet, you will see other useful options like Copy, Hide, AirPlay, Use as wallpaper, etc.

How to Customize Share Sheet on iOS 13

As we mentioned earlier, you can easily customize the share sheet on iOS 13 and fill it with options that you like and which you wish to keep on this list.

Customizing the share sheet is pretty simple. Scroll down on the Share sheet until you see the “Edit Actions” option. Tap on it.

In this new window, you will see actions divided into various sections. The first section will include your “Favorites”.

Tap the “+” icon to add an item to your Share Sheet. And similarly, tapping the minus icon will remove it from the Share sheet.

Tap on “Done” once you’re done selecting the items.

As you must’ve noticed the Share sheet is different as per each specific app. Also, you will see some specific app-related actions as soon as you tap the Share button. For example, if you’re browsing on Safari, visiting any web page, so if you tap the share button, you will see specific app-related actions like Add to Reading List, Bookmark page, Find on Page, Add to Home Screen, etc.

Similarly, if you select any picture from the camera roll, you will see specific actions like “Use as Wallpaper”, “Create watch face”, “Copy Image”, “Slideshow” and so on.
