How to Rename a Photo Album on iPhone

Is your iPhone full of photos and albums? Sometimes you may find it difficult to identify albums you have named previously. Whenever you create an album on your iPhone gallery it asks you for a name. But there are times when you accidently enter a wrong name and might want to make changes.

But before proceeding further, you should know that you will not be able to rename albums such as Camera Roll, Screenshots, People, Recently Deleted, Live Photos, My Photo Stream, Animated, Selfies, Videos and Places. You will only be able to rename the ones created by apps or the ones you made. So here are the steps to rename an album in your iPhone gallery.

  1. Open Photos app on your iOS device from the home screen.
  2. Next, you need to tap on the “Edit” button on top-right corner.

3. Now tap on the name of album for you want to change. Please note here names which you cannot change will be dimmed.

4. Now you will see that your keyboard will appear and you will be able to give the album a new name. After renaming the album tap on Done
