Tips and Tweaks to Improve Your iPhone’s Battery Life, Visibily!

No matter what Apple does—it always creates a commotion. We cannot deny this but Apple has taken some pretty big steps in improving battery performance with the launch of iPhone 6s and 7.  If we particularly talk in terms of battery then the earlier versions of iPhones were pretty annoying. Can’t blame it all on Apple though! Who are we fooling? We use our phones day and night to do all the things we love, be it clicking pictures, listening to our favorite tunes, sending emails, shop, surf and what not. But nothing is more annoying than running out of juice when you need it the most.

So here’s why we have pulled out some useful tips and tricks that can significantly improve your iPhone’s battery life. Here you go.

How to Improve iPhone Battery Life:-

1. Keep your Software up to date

Yes, this is the first thing you need to do. The “minor” bug fixes can fix your iPhone with a “major” difference. Therefore, keeping your iOS up-to-date is the best way to make sure that your device is functioning optimally.

2. Avoid Force Quitting

Android and Windows have taught us this habit where we keep on shutting down active applications. Well, we strongly recommend you “Stop Doing That” as it only adds to your smartphone’s performance woes. Believe this, that phones nowadays are smart enough to prioritize the allocation of RAM based on your usage. So quitting and relaunching your apps repeatedly strains the battery and drains a lot of power.

Forget the stereotypes and avoid this habit.

3. Low Power Mode

Low Power mode is an inbuilt feature offered by Apple to minimize power wastage. Switching to low power mode terminates all non-essential background apps, auto-syncing, and many push notifications, thereby significantly extending battery life.

4. Find the Culprits & Kill ‘em!

There’s a quick and easy way by which you can see which apps are sucking out your iphone’s battery life. Simply navigate to Settings > General > Battery and scroll down to find out which apps are draining your battery. Suppose, you found Facebook on that list then what you can do is, delete the FB application and try using it on Safari or Chrome browser to notice a remarkable amount of battery improvement.

5. Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etcetera

Wireless networks result in battery hogging. When your phone’s Wi-Fi is turned on it keeps on searching better network signals all the time, consequently eating up your device’s battery. So keeping these options turned OFF is a great way to save some extra juice.

6. Push Notifications

Our phones are cluttered with a lot of social media accounts. We keep receiving chunks of push notifications all day long when one of your friend tags you or tweets. It severely drains our iPhone’s battery life. Hence, we recommend you to turn off notifications of unnecessary account to save yourself some extra percentage of battery.

  1. Turn Down Brightness

Go to Settings > Display and Brightness to make sure you have the Auto Brightness feature switched off, as this will stop your handset cranking the brightness levels back up. Instead start doing this manually via control center, simply swiping it from the bottom of screen to manage brightness levels.

  1. Background App Refresh

Background App Refresh allows the apps to predict when you’ll next check them and sees them pining their servers right before you do so they can pull the latest data and have it ready and waiting for you when you open the app. To disable Background App Refresh, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > and toggle the switch to OFF (white) or toggle individual apps ON or OFF.

Last but not the least, give your phone some rest and talk to the person whose right next to you 😉

Hope these handy tips earn some extra ‘battery-pounds’ for your iPhone!
