Exciting news for those curious about Bing Chat on Google Chrome or Apple’s Safari! Microsoft has officially begun the rollout of its AI chatbot for both these browsers, granting access to Bing AI chatbot in its latest testing phase. While the feature is currently being released to a limited group of users, rest assured that if you haven’t received access yet, you’re not the only one eagerly awaiting it.
With this expansion, Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot is breaking free from its previous confines, now becoming accessible to a wider range of users. Now, this ingenious chatbot will spread its wings to reach a wider audience, ensuring that more users can experience its capabilities beyond the confines of Microsoft’s ecosystem.
Bing Chat in Testing for Chrome and Safari Users but with Some Limitations
As lucky users gained access to the Bing AI chatbot on Windows, they were greeted with a handy pop-up in the taskbar of Windows 10 or 11. But fear not, even if the pop-up didn’t grace your screen, you can still dive into the action. Simply head to Bing.com using Google Chrome or Safari and hit the “Chat” icon to embark on this delightful AI chatbot experience.
Not only is Bing making its way to various browsers, but Microsoft has also introduced a sleek update for Bing Chat – Dark Mode! Now, users can enjoy the enhanced aesthetic and reduced eye strain while engaging in seamless conversations with it.

However, here’s the catch: Microsoft plans to put some limitations on certain features of the chatbot when it’s accessed through browsers other than their own.
- Users can type up to 2,000 words in their prompts when using Chrome and Safari to access Bing Chat. In contrast, Bing Chat on Microsoft Edge has a 4,000-word cap.
- On Edge, users can fire away with up to 30 questions within a single conversation, allowing for in-depth exploration. However, for Chrome and Safari users, the experience takes on a slightly different rhythm, as they are limited to just five questions before the conversation wraps up.
Once you hit the limit in Bing Chat, the conversation takes an intriguing turn. No more questions or prompts will be accepted, and a friendly pop-up message will appear, playfully suggesting, “Sorry, this conversation has reached its limit. Use the ‘broom’ button to sweep this away and chat more.”
- As you explore the chatbot on alternative browsers, Microsoft has a subtle surprise in store. They’ll cleverly display pop-ups, encouraging users to give their native browser, Edge, a try.
