Steps To Downgrade iPhone from iOS 13 Beta to iOS 12

After watching WWDC event highlights, were you all jumpy and excited to get iOS13 on your iPhone? Undoubtedly, some of the features introduced make it hard to resist, however, there could be repercussions of the action. Well, usually the developer’s beta version is released for developers to test and develop apps compatible with the operating system, before releasing the official version of an operating system. It is generally recommended for a normal user to not get the version as it could have an adverse effect on your iPhone, as there could be a lot of bugs.

If you are one of them, you have upgraded their iPhone to iOS 13 beta version or iPad to iPadOS, then desperately want to turn around things for you, then here is how to downgrade it!

The method to downgrade your iPhone from iOS 13 to the current version iOS 12.3.1 is tricky. So, before going further, you need to make a checklist of things you should remember:

Note: You need to ensure that you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer which supports iOS 13 & iPadOS 13.

Steps To Downgrade From iOS 13 Beta To iOS 12.3.1

  1. Get iOS 12.3.1 IPSW file for your iPhone on your Mac.
  2. Now disable Find My iPhone app on iPhone. To do that, Launch Settings.
  3. Now click on your name, then tap iCloud, followed by Find My iPhone.
  4. Now you need to enter Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU mode) on your device if you have an iPhone 7 or later.

  5. Now that your iPhone is in DFU mode, hold Alt/Option key on your Mac, Shift key on your computer. Click Restore iPhone.
  6. Locate your iOS 12.3.1 IPSW file from your computer.
  7. Click Restore & Update button to proceed. Now follow the on-screen instructions.
  8. Now, iTunes will verify the IPSW file and initiate the installation process.

Your iPhone will restart during the process. Once the process is complete, your iPhone will come up with iOS 12.3.1.
