How to Unlock Your Android Mobile With Fitness Trackers

To avoid any unauthorized access. Everyone likes to secure their phones with a passcode But this can be cumbersome when you have to unlock your phone several times a day. Entering the passcode or drawing a pattern each time to unlock is not cool.

Smart Lock feature is solution for this problem it is found in the Android Lollipop and higher OS.

Smart Lock offers various options using which you can lock/unlock your phone. It is also improving these methods regularly, you can now use a trusted Bluetooth device to unlock your device.

Follow these steps to unlock your smartphone using a trusted Bluetooth device:

1. Set A Passcode Or Pattern To Unlock Your Phone

To set a passcode or pattern for your device, open your device’s “settings” menu, go to “Personal” and choose “Security”. In the “Screen Security” section, choose “Screen Lock”. Now follow the on screen instructions to set a pattern, passcode, or PIN to protect your smartphone.

2. Activate Smart Lock

To use Smart Lock feature with a trusted Bluetooth device, you need to enable Smart Lock.

To do so, open “Settings” menu > “Personal” > select “Security”. Next open “Advanced” menu and select “Trust agents” and toggle to enable “Smart Lock”.

Now select “Smart Lock” available in the “Screen Security” section. Enter the same screen lock PIN, password, or pattern that you created earlier.

3. Set Smart Lock To Identify Bluetooth Device

You can unlock your smartphone with Bluetooth device of your choice when in close range.

To add a trusted bluetooth device to Smart Lock for the purpose of unlocking phone, turn on Bluetooth on your device.

From the “Smart Lock” menu, choose “Trusted devices”. Select “Add trusted device”, then choose “Bluetooth”. Choose the Bluetooth device you wish to use from the list of connected Bluetooth devices.

Note: To use the bluetooth device as a Smart Lock trusted device, you need to pair it.

4. How To Get Rid Of Permitted Trusted Bluetooth Device In Smart Lock

If you already have a device connected, you can easily disconnect it.

To do so, choose the device from the list of “Trusted Devices in the “Smart Lock” menu, choose “remove the device” from your list and pick “OK”.

Final Words: This is an easy way to unlock device. But one thing you need to remember is that when you use a bluetooth device for unlocking, the passcode is not required.
