Steps To Reset BIOS To Default
Step 1: Go To Bios Reset Utility – To enter Bios settings, press F2 as soon as the screen comes up.
Note: The steps to enter Bios settings can vary for different computer manufacturers.
Step 2: Locate Exit tab from the top corner of the screen and look for Load Setup Defaults or press F9.
Step 3: You will get a prompt to reset the settings to default “Load Default Configuration Now”, press Yes to proceed.
Step 4: Click Exit Saving changes or press F10 to boot your computer.
If the above steps don’t work, it is ok! It is time to take the matter into your hands. You need to reset the settings by removing CMOS battery. To do that follow these steps:
Steps to Remove CMOS battery To Reset Bios Settings to Default
Step 1: Turn off your computer and remove the battery if it’s a laptop.
Step 2: Now remove the outside panel and find where the motherboard is!
Step 3: Once you have located motherboard, look for CMOS battery. The CMOS battery looks like a coin.
Step 4: To detach the battery from the panel, you would need a screwdriver. Once you have taken the battery out, wait for a few minutes. Now reinstall the battery to that port. This will reset the bios settings to default.
