Facebook Launches Messenger App for Windows and Mac Users

After almost 9 years of its debut, Facebook Messenger finally comes for the big screen. For a lover of Dark Mode like me, a new Facebook Messenger is great. Not only this, for people looking for a Zoom alternative due to privacy concerns, Facebook Messenger will also work as a savior.  

Why Facebook launched this new messenger app?

Due to COVID-19, people across the globe are practicing social distancing, and video chat apps are gaining becoming. Looking at this, Facebook finally launched the full version of the Messenger desktop app. It seems like an attempt to give a new video chat app to people who are looking for ways to connect with friends and family. 

What does the new Facebook Messenger do?

The new app syncs call across devices, supports GIFs, notifications and boast unlimited free video and group calls.

From where can you get the app?

The app is available on the Microsoft Store and Mac App Store. Visit the respective links and get the app on your machine. Once you have it, you can start messaging your friend and can initiate video calls, as you do on the web and mobile.
