Solution No. 2 – Allow the Mouse or Keyboard To Wake Up Your PC

Quite opposite to the above scenario, if your PC or laptop can come out of sleep using either keyboard or mouse but it isn’t, then, it may be that you have to configure that setting. To do that follow the steps mentioned below –

1. Open the Run dialog box and type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

2. Double-click on Keyboards and double-click on your keyboard.

3. Click on Power Management and then click on Allow this device to wake the computer.

4. Click on OK.

5. Do the same for your mice or other pointing device.

These steps might not work for a Windows 11 PC.

Solution No. 3- Update Device Drivers

1. Open the Run dialog box by right-clicking on the Start button and clicking on Run.

2. Type or copy powercfg.cpl and press Enter.

3. Click on Choose what the power button does.

4. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable. You should have administrative access to do this.

5. Uncheck the Turn on fast startup (Recommended) checkbox.

6. Click on Save changes
