WhatsApp Soon Going To Release New Features In 2023

Exciting news for all WhatsApp users! The popular messaging service is always working on improving your chatting experience and making it even better. According to WABetaInfo, the go-to source for real-time updates on WhatsApp, there’s a new round of modifications in the works.

Let’s dive into the latest features set to be launched in 2023 and the updates the WhatsApp community has uncovered. Get ready to enhance your WhatsApp experience like never before.

Upcoming WhatsApp Features You Can Expect In 2023

1. Revamped Status

Good news for those who value their privacy on WhatsApp. You can now choose who sees your posts by adjusting your privacy settings for each status update. This way, you can ensure that sensitive or personal information is only visible to your desired audience. And the best part? Your chosen audience will be saved and become the default setting for all future posts.

Get ready for even more creative ways to share your updates on WhatsApp! The platform is introducing the ability to record and share voice messages up to 30 seconds in length as part of your Status. This is perfect for those moments when speaking your thoughts is easier than typing them out.

Additionally, the platform now has a feature that allows you to set a special ring for status updates from your important contacts. No more scrolling through your chats to find their latest update. With the new status profile ring, your contacts’ profile picture will be surrounded by a ring whenever they post a status update.

2. Schedule Your WhatsApp Calls

WhatsApp may soon be introducing a new feature that lets you plan your calls in advance. According to WABetaInfo, this much-anticipated feature will allow you to schedule personal calls at a time that works for you. WhatsApp will soon have a dedicated schedule option for your calls. Whenever you click on the call icon, you’ll have the option to schedule a call and choose the date and time that works for you. The person will receive a notification when the call is scheduled and another notification when the call starts.

3. Voice Note Transcription

Get ready to say goodbye to manual transcription. WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow you to transcribe voice notes, as reported by WABetaInfo. The report also shared a screenshot of the feature, which showed that WhatsApp will include an introduction screen to let you know when transcription is not yet accessible. For example, transcription will not be possible if the voice note contains no recognizable words or is set to a different language.

All voice note transcriptions will take place locally on your smartphone. You need to download specific language packs, but these will never be shared with WhatsApp, ensuring that your messages remain confidential.  It’s important to note that this feature may only be available on recent versions of iOS.

4. Share Original Quality Photos And Videos Over WhatsApp Desktop

Good news for WhatsApp desktop users! It looks like the platform is working on a feature that will let you share videos and photos in their actual quality. Currently, images shared on WhatsApp are automatically compressed, which can affect their resolution and clarity. But with this new feature, you’ll be able to send videos and photos in their original quality, preserving all their detail and crispness.

According to the latest WABetaInfo report, the new feature for sharing original quality photos and videos on WhatsApp desktop won’t be the only option. When it’s available for beta testing, users will still have the choice to share photos with the standard compression method. This is great for those who are mindful of storage space and want to conserve it. According to the report, the standard compression option will remain the default choice for sharing photos.

5. Share 100 Media In A Go

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is expanding its media-sharing capabilities by allowing beta testers to select up to 100 photos or videos in the media picker within the app. This is a significant improvement from the previous limit of 30, which was a hindrance for users looking to share a large number of media files. With this feature, sharing memories and moments with friends and family will now be easier and more efficient. This update of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS is now available on the TestFlight app, and it’s expected to roll out to a wider audience in the near future.
