What’s New In Siri, this WWDC 2018?

The most awaited event for Apple lovers, WWDC 2018 brought a lot of changes and improvements in it’s existing features and apps. Siri will now be able to perform a certain set of actions & provide you suggestions with a new feature & app named Shortcuts. Doesn’t it remind Of Google Assistant Routines? Moving On! It is not just called and respond commands app.  This iOS app will enable to record phrases in your voice and assign them for certain shortcuts. Furthermore, Shortcuts uses your social media, calendars, and another app to keep a track of phone usage behavior and make prediction accordingly. It may also suggest ways in which you can use your iOS device.

Siri Gets Smarter:

The smarter the virtual assistant gets; more helpful it becomes. Let’s say if you have lost your keys, and you assign the task to Siri, it will trigger the smart tracker from Tile and it will help you locate your lost keys.

Similarly, you can use default phrases such as Heading Home, this will trigger the smart gadgets at home, it will turn on AC, your favorite music and lights at your home so that when you reach home, you get the perfect ambiance.

Prompts According to Location:

The Shortcuts app will provide you suggestions according to the location you are at. The app widget will check your calendar and inform you that you have a doctor’s appointment and also provides other details. Similarly, if you are watching a movie at a theatre, Siri will give you a suggestion to switch on Do Not Disturb Mode. This is a one of the amazing highlight among the new features of Siri with regards to iOS 12’s Digital Wellness Initiative.

Help You to Prepare For A Day:

Siri helps you to start your day and give suggestions based on your plans for the day. If you are heading to your office, Siri will remind you about the appointments and meetings scheduled for the day.
