Too many Popups? Learn How to Disable Them!

  • Your browser doesn’t block pop-up ads from showing.
  • Your homepage, startup page, or search engine has changed to a site you don’t recognize
  • Unfamiliar extensions or toolbars are added to your browser window.
  • You’re seeing a search engine that looks like Google, but with the wrong logo or web address
  • You see ads that are labeled “Ads by ”, but you don’t recognize the name.

If your system is reflecting any of the above symptoms, then it might lead to a situation of potential threat. Let’s have a quick look about how to get rid of these unwanted popups!

How to Remove Unwanted Popups?

Step 1: Uninstall Infectious Software

For starters first try and remove all the infectious software from your PC like web pro, Conduit, snap.do engine, convert ad, consumer input etc. But just make sure it doesn’t remove any important toolbar from the browser which you might need.

Step 2: Removal of Extensions and toolbars

  • For Google Chrome-Head on to Settings-> Extensions.

Remove the unwanted extension however sometimes you will not be able to remove the extension. So in that case please Go to Settings >Extensions > Check the developer mode option.

  • For Internet Explorer– In the Run dialog box type inetcpl.cpl and hit enter.

Under the Programs tab click on Manage Add-ons. Check and disable all the unwanted add-ons and search engine.

  • For Mozilla Firefox– Click the Firefox menu and select Add-ons. Check all extensions and search engines and remove or disable unwanted extensions.

Step 3: Restart Your system

Once you have made the specific changes shut down & restart your system.

NOTE: If all these steps didn’t work out well for you then we recommend you to remove and uninstall all the browsers on which you operate.
