What is Aphasia?

Aphasia is a communication disorder i.e. inability to comprehend and formulate language. It results from brain damage whether it’s from stroke, brain tumors, brain injuries or neurodegenerative diseases. It does not affect person’s intelligence; they retain their cognitive abilities as they can “depict all aspects of emotion.”

How Wemogee helps Aphasia users?

There are two modes in this app visual and textual. There are more than 140 pre-set phrases under six categories which helps user with aphasia to communicate. The list contains most common phrases used in informal chats. The messages sent are translated into words for non-aphasic users and into emoji for aphasic users.
