Customize Your iPhone apps: Widgets

Finally, with iOS 14, many widgets are now available on iPhone which is quite a few years after Android.  Widgets make it easy to view information on your home screen and save the time and trouble of opening the app and then retrieving the information you need. Apple has introduced default widgets with its apps such as a battery, files, Clock, Fitness, and more. Other third-party app developers have begun adding widgets to their apps through updates.

All the Widgets available on your iPhone can be viewed by holding the iPhone’s home screen and activating the Jiggle Mode followed by a tap on the + symbol on the upper left corner. Then a list of all the widgets, both default and third-party will be available for you to choose from. Tap on any widget to apply it on your home screen.

Customize Your iPhone apps: Smart Stack

Apple has introduced Smart Stack in iOS 14 that offers many information panels that can be viewed at a glance and can easily be flicked by scrolling your finger up or down. You can also tap and hold the Smart Stack widget and select Edit Stack to add, remove, or change the order of the apps.

Customize Your iPhone Apps: Out Of Sight

The App Library is a new feature that maintains a list of all the installed apps and hence you can remove all the apps from your home screen. This can be done by clicking on the X in the jiggle mode. To locate the App Library, swipe right on the Home screen, and you will find a list of Apps within predetermined filters. The apps can be viewed alphabetically, category wise, or search bar.

Customize Your iPhone Apps: Hide The Home Screen
