Apple to Combine Apps for Its OS

Apple has already denied that it will merge operating system for Smartphone and Desktop as Microsoft did. But now it is working to combine apps for iOS and Mac OS. Apple has a large user base worldwide if we include all its devices. Moreover, it has always been a headache for its users to download same application on from different App stores for different devices. So here is the Roadmap of how Apple is planning to combine apps for its devices running on different operating systems.

From developer’s perspective:

Every application is somewhere a source of revenue for apple, but developers need to work hard if they are aimed to develop an application for all the apple devices. With this initiative to combine apps they will work on a new Software Development Kit (SDK). In this SDK developers do not need to develop a new application for every platform. They will be able to easily submit apps for their respective stores. This SDK may be available in early June 2019.

From user’s perspective:

If we see the things from an end user perspective, then user will not need to study interface of the same application for different platforms. More or less it will become same for both the operating systems and the difference will only be instead of touch screen apps can be controlled with the help of mouse. For the applications on which user sync the data or input the information it will become much easier to use and you will easily be able to resume from where you have left on the other device.

The codename of this project of apple is Marzipan and apple is planning to complete it by 2021. By not merging operating system and combining the applications will give users much flexibility to use the same application more conveniently on all the devices. As there are big differences in screen resolution and other hardware components not merging operating systems is a better idea.
