Apple Finally Brings Back iPhone Jack – Apple and Belkin Join Hands

Belkin adapter brings the headphone jack back to iPhone the other way.

Apple knows what’s best and how to keep fans happy. Last year when Apple said goodbye to the old audio jack there was a cry of protest. No one really appreciated it.

But nothing is impossible for Apple. It has a solution for every problem this time it took a year but finally Apple bowed to demand of its users. It has started selling an iPhone dongle which has a 3.5 mm audio port and a lighting port for charging.

But, there’s a catch Apple is not making the dongle itself. The Rockstar dongle is built by electronics company Belkin – costs £29.95 and $35,  it is available on the Apple Store.

“Whether you want to charge in the car, on the go or at home, the adapter makes it possible to listen to 3.5mm audio and power your iPhone, simultaneously,” Apple states on its website.

Belkin is not bringing the “Rockstar” dongle for the first time, it is the second version which was quietly announced in September. The first version was released last year with two lightning ports.

The second version is different than the first. The earlier version had 2 lighting ports which make it difficult to use headphones. To use them you had to plug Apple’s dongle into another one. But it’s not the case with the new one you can charge and listen to music both at the same time. No longer you need to wait for the phone to charge to listen music. You have to simply plug Apple’s adaptor into Belkin’s dongle and you need only one adapter. But there is a drawback it is large, this makes it difficult to carry on the move.
