Samsung Galaxy Fold, the most extravagant phone of the show is all set to launch on April 26, with a starting price of $1,980. With endless leaks & rumors, the folding Samsung phone is all packed with plenty of tech inside: a high-end processor, 512GB of storage, 12GB RAM, triple-lens 16MP+12MP+12MP rear-camera with a 4,380 mAh battery. The foldable screen design will allow you to enjoy three apps simultaneously alongside each other on the fold.

3. TCL Foldable Phone

TCL Foldable Phone

Current owners & marketers of Blackberry, TCL is also working on a foldable smartphone. Though they are the earliest in the bunch, but their design concepts were very much admired at MWC, especially their ‘DragonHinge’ hardware that will form the physical backbone of its upcoming foldable phones. Galaxy Fold & Mate X’s eye watering price tags might have scared some phone enthusiasts, but TCL has promised to surprise them with affordable prices.

4. Oppo


Huawei & Samsung have foldable smartphones all polished & ready to sail, but Oppo. . .well, it just has a toe in the water. It officially doesn’t have a design, but the company does have a prototype that everybody caught a glimpse of at MWC 2019! Oppo’s innovation looks a lot like Huawei Mate X, it has hinge goes the same way with a bump grip on the side the same way as Huawei.

5. Nubia Alpha

Unlike other phone makers who have introduced their first foldable phones in a way that can be used in two form factors; as a smartphones & a tablet. It looks like China’s Nubia has opted another design approach which would be as a wearable smartphone with an OLED screen.  The device would be capable of performing all the major functions that your phone can like; making calls, sending texts, browsing Internet, clicking pictures. The Nubia Alpha would also have all the extensive features fitness tracking features that are found on smartwatches.
