100 Hidden iOS 11 Features You Would Want To Know: Part III

Since WWDC’ 17 big announcements rolled out, iOS 11 has been all over the place. So here we are, with the third installment of our 100 hidden features series.

  1. Landscape Lock Screen

Yeah! Let’s start with the lock screen. iOS 11’s brand new lock screen now comes with a landscape option in all variants. Whether you have the 6, 6s plus or 7 you’ll now be able to tilt the lock screen in the landscape mode as well.

  1. Slide Up to view Older notifications

iOS 11’s new notification style will surely amaze you! You can now access all your older notifications on the lock screen itself. Now there’s no need to enter the passcode and dive inside to access notifications. This handy feature brings all your notification on the lock screen for a quicker access.  All you need to do is simply Slide Up on the screen.

  1. The all new Unlocking Animation

Another noteworthy change that’ll catch your attention in iOS 11 interface is the all new lock screen animation. Now when you’ll unlock your device it’ll simply slide up to reveal the home screen (Like a raising curtains effect). Isn’t it a great welcome gesture?

  1. No more Slide Notification

In iOS 11 you’ll be no longer allowed to clear notifications by swiping left/right to clear it or open it.

  1. Quick Access Music on Lock Screen

iOS 11 now allows you to access music player on the lock screen which works pretty well. The music player will no longer block the entire display now; you’ll be still left with a considerable amount of free space. This will allow you to view notifications while playing music too!

  1. Smarter Pass code Interface

If you’ve been using passcode previously, then you’ll notice a new passcode design interface in the iOS 11. Apple has shredded those outline boundaries and replaced the text for a more bold and cleaner looking interface.

  1. Access SOS Emergency via Power Button

Quickly tap on the power button for 5 times consequently to access SOS emergency slider switch on the lock screen itself. In this way you can quickly contact with the SOS services or any contacts which you have saved as an emergency contact.

  1. The Classic Network Bar is Back

When you’ll take a closer look at the home screen you’ll find that Apple has got ridden of those tiny cellular dots and replaced it with our all time favorite classic network bar that have spinned around since the beginning of iPhone revolution.

  1. Only Four Network Bars instead of Five..

But instead of five, now you’ll only view four network bars which is a significant little change we couldn’t help but notice.

  1. The Distinctive Battery Icon

The battery icon has been molded to take up a distinctive bolder looking appearance.
